Construction
Where the money went.
A scratch post that has to survive being scratched, built into something you would have bought anyway.
Cut from one slab
Top, pedestal and panel are cut from natural stone with the veining running through. No two tables carry the same markings.
The panel lifts off
The scratch pad is held on a concealed fixing behind the fabric. When a cat has finally had its way with it, you replace the pad — not the table.
Bound, not glued
Every edge of the pad is bound and stitched so claws catch the pile rather than the trim. It is finished like upholstery because it is upholstery.

The hidden purpose
Cats scratch. It is not a behavioural problem to be solved, it is how they condition their claws and mark territory, and if there is nothing appropriate at the right height they will use the sofa arm instead.
Most solutions to this are carpeted posts that you hide behind a chair. This one sits where a side table would sit anyway — beside the sofa, next to the bed — at the height a cat naturally stretches to. The panel is where they want it and the table is where you want it, which is the whole idea.
Materials & dimensions
Stone: natural, with warm organic veining running through every face. Each piece is unique — the photographs show one table, not the one you will receive.
Panel: an upholstered pad inset flush into the stone face, bound on every edge and fixed so it can be lifted off and replaced.
Size: 450 wide × 450 deep × 550 high. That puts the top just below a standard sofa arm, so it works as a side table, a bedside companion, or a standalone accent.
Weight: solid stone is heavy by design — it does not shift when a cat leans into it.
Caring for stone
Wipe with a soft damp cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar and anything abrasive — natural stone is porous and etches. Blot spills rather than letting them sit, particularly wine, citrus and coffee.
The scratch pad can be vacuumed with a brush attachment and lifted off entirely if it needs a proper clean.
